Welcome to Groveland, California. This is a foothill community located about 140 miles Northwest of San Francisco on the western side of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Our elevation is 3,000 feet. We are above the San Joaquin Valley Fog and below most of the winter snow.
The sun shines here some 330 days a year - great flying weather. Summers nights are cool, winter snows are very light, and so we can enjoy the snow's beauty without having to deal with it. Our roads are open year-round and the daytime temperatures average in the 60's in the winter and in the 80's in the summer. This is a dry climate with very little rain during the winter most years.
